- Supporting the NCICS project titled Advancing Research on Compounding Risk of Drought and Extreme Heat Events in the United States, developed by an interdisciplinary team composed of research meteorologists, an environmental epidemiologist, and graduate students.
- Utilizing the United States Climate Reference Network (USCRN) to determine the frequency in which drought and heat waves co-occur in the United States over the last 10 years and how this co-occurrence impacts the severity along with longevity of these extreme events.
- Examining the health implications (i.e., mortality and morbidity) of non-concurring heat waves and concurrening drought and heatwave events for North Carolina.

- Fulfilled the mission of the office which includes extension, research, and education in the climate sciences.
- Developed two climate data based agricultural decision support tools through use of PHP, HTML, Javascript, and Highcharts.
- Completed a statistical evaluation of global climate datasets through use of R.
- Co-led outreach and education events targeted towards the general public.
- Automated metadata database comparison and update through the use of mySQL and PHP.
- Helped with climate data retrieval for clients depending on their project’s needs.
- Supported maintenance and upkeep of the North Carolina Environment and Climate Observing Network (ECONet).

- Assisted conference organizers in operation of HurriCon: Science at the Intersection of Hurricanes and the Populated Coast, a NSF-funded, two-day interdisciplinary conference with attendees from across the nation.
- Attended conference sessions to transcibe presentations and provide technical support to speakers as needed.
- Organized all reporteur transcriptions into a singular document sorted by session and topic after the conclusion of the conference.

- Assisted presenters and session chairs during the 98th Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas and the 99th Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona.
- Managed transition of presentors within sessions and provided technical support as needed.
